'I wonder if their neighbours the Palestinians have the money to make a
video like that.'
You could look up the info on how many millions have been given to the Palestinians by the US, the Saudis, and other Muslim countries (probably other non-Muslim countries too, but I don't remember anything about that).
Anyway, it's the usual sad story: the leaders steal the money, the people get very little.
You could start with the number of millions Arafat stole: how much he was worth when he died (and didn't his wife get a hefty settlement when she left him?).
Someone -- the Saudis or one of the Gulf nations -- gave multiple millions for a hotel to bring in tourists. I think that was the West Bank. Never built. The money went in someone's pocket. After a few years, the nation that donated the money got curious....
Or you could talk about how, when the Israelis pulled out of Gaza a few years back, leaving behind (among other things) a thriving (Jewish) greenhouse complex which grew all sorts of (fruit or veggies -- something edible, anyway) the Israelis sold to Europe and employed I don't know how many Gazans.... The day after the Israelis left, the greenhouses were destroyed for scrap by whichever Gazans got there first. No more jobs for the Gazans. No more income from abroad. Better to fight your neighbor for some copper pipe than to keep intact a business that would support the entire neighborhood -- not to mention be good PR for Gaza.
