I still think Montreal is a nicer place to live and much more affordable! However, what I noticed over the years is that there are wonderful people anywhere you go! I pray you follow God’s lead for your life. You might be leaving this planet sooner than you think!

November and May are similar to South-Central Ontario. There is usually not a lot of snow in November, but the potential is always there. As a transition month, freezing rain is a real possibility.  I believe winter tires are compulsory starting in November. There is much more snow accumulation in Montreal than in Toronto, but both have that damp cold that gets in your bones. Your car could get buried in a storm. You need to keep a shovel and snow crampons in your trunk to get your car out of drifts. I would not have a job requiring a vehicle in the winter. I drove a whole winter in Montreal with slush flying everywhere. February is the coldest month. March can bring big storms and April can see snow or freezing rain. By the time May rolls around, things are good. The metro (subway) is the best way to travel in the city.

      Hi Heidi!

I am a (young) retired teacher in Ontario. Having much time on my hands, I looked into teaching/tutoring online. I have found plenty of opportunities with decent compensation (although I decided not to go for it after all.) You could do some freelancing work online with Upwork and/or freelancer. I got some decent gigs with freelancer, but most jobs don’t pay well. Anyways, you might want to look at your options. I am originally from Montréal and I can attest that rents are cheaper than in Ontario. Most people in Montreal are bilingual, and it is a requirement for most jobs. However, online work doesn’t limit you. God bless you! Hélène :bye:

I know many are looking at 2021 with great hope (and so am I), but I think that as time passes, more and more is revealed through the body of Christ. I remember 10 years ago, when I stated watching intensely, that the theories presented in watchers’ circles were often farfetched and convoluted. I find that we are seing more and more well substantiated reasoning in regards to possible timelines and timeframes. I think it is worthwhile to consider what God is showing brothers and sisters who study and research things pertaining to our Lord’s appearing.

I became a born-again believer at 21. I am the only one in my (non- practising catholic French-Canadian) family as far as I know. When I was 4 or 5, when I went to bed, I would often think that I had to prepare to go to Heaven. I envisioned a tall ladder and I knew I had to be prepared to go (I thought I needed a bag of coins). As a teenager I found a thick paperback new testament that was ripped through the middle and I wondered how and why and who did it. For Christmas, I bought my father a book about the apocalypse, because I thought it was fascinating. After my salvation, I heard a bit about end-times events without realizing the different positions. I think Jack Van Impe made me think a lot more. I bought books as well, but soon the world events were speeding up so much that they became somewhat irrelevant. The internet changed things for me. The Lord really awakened me to the nearness of his coming in 2011. Ritan has been a wonderful teaching venue that has consolidated my pre-trib position and understanding.

Thanks for caring, dear brother! I do check in from time to time, but I have to say that I am steering clear of the va(( conversations. There are soooooo many conflicting voices in and out of Christian circles that make this subject very polarizing. It almost seems like the enemy is trying to divert our focus, pit people against each other, create confusion, muddle the truth, capitalize on fear, etc. I am just tired of the rhetoric. Apart from that, I stay the course, always watching with you all for the coming of our King and Saviour!

I don’t know if it was an eclipse the day Jesus was crucified as eclipses are never hours long.

I have stayed away from RITAN because of this discussion. It is so difficult to sort through all the info and misinformation. I was vaccinated, and if I were to believe some people, I will die soon because of it! I really don’t fear this at all, but we have to be responsible and accountable for our words.  We are here to testify of the Lord, and also for the process of sanctificstion until Jesus comes for us. This whole debate is, imho, a rabbit trail, a sidetrack. The vaCC has no power to separate us for the Lord.

I can easily imagine this giant being displayed in the newly built temple in Jerusalem. The image of the beast being displayed, calling Jews to worship it as their God.

It’s interesting how there are a few prophecy teachers who are zeroing in around the 20th of June. I always thought that the watchers would end up agreeing to a timeframe for the approaching day.

It is hard to know what to believe. Here in Ontario, we can’t do much … no restaurants, no malls, no patios, no sports, no camping, no in-person schooling, etc. Masks are compulsory in every grocery store or pharmacy. Curbside pick-up for many stores. It seems like people have much more freedom in the US.  I haven’t read all the posts in this long string of posts, but I just can’t figure out the truth about it. So many claims seem farfetched. I know that vaccinations have polarized people, and strong arguments have been made on both sides. But, what is the truth? I know that this vx is not the mark of the beast. We need to careful about how we talk about this stuff. The fact that there is so much misinformation and confusion about this in Christian circles makes me think the enemy in at it again… Btw, I have been vaccinated, and I know that it has no power to separate me from my Saviour.
