A Mighty Fortress is our God…He is Faithful to His Promises

(WHAT WE BELIEVE)

We believe God is a triune being (three in one), having revealed Himself (Elohiym) from the first verse of the Bible onward, as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

~ GOD THE FATHER ~

We believe in the person of God the Father as infinite, eternal, perfect in holiness, power, wisdom, justice and love; Creator of all, both visible and invisible; that He is personable, hears and answers prayer, and that he saves us from death and eternal separation from Him through Jesus Christ His only begotten Son. (Deut. 33:27; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 102:27; John 3:16-18; 1 Timothy 1:17; Titus 1:3-4)

~ GOD THE SON ~

We believe in the person of Jesus Christ, infinite and eternal, the Alpha and Omega, by Whom and for Whom all things were created. We believe that Jesus Christ became a man, that He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross as a substitution for all who will believe on Him, arose from the grave, ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father, interceding and advocating for us and awaiting His return back to earth to catch away His Bride, the true Church, at the Rapture. We believe that Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man. It is only in this dual position, as both the Kinsman Redeemer (man) and the perfect Lamb of God (Divine), that He could have become the Savior of mankind. (Isaiah 7:14; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:23; Mark 16:19; Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-2; John 1:29; John 8:58; John 11:25; Col. 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 1:8; Revelation 1:8)

~ GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT ~

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, infinite and eternal God, who was sent by the Father as Comforter, Teacher, Counselor and Guide to the Body of Christ in the world, and to convict the world of sin and need for a Savior. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells all true believers and is given as a seal of new birth upon all who will believe in the atoning work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and His shed blood for the payment of their sins. We believe this sealing of the believer is an eternal covenant conceived and implemented by God the Father and is our blessed assurance of eternal salvation for all who are IN Christ Jesus. We believe the indwelling Holy Spirit acts as our Intercessor when we pray to God. (Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 3:18; John 6:13-14; John 14:16-17; John 16:8-11; Romans 8:26; Romans 15:13; Romans 15:16; Hebrews 9:14)

~ THE WORD ~

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16) We believe Jesus Christ is THE WORD and that He is alive and active as The Word in the world today. We believe that every Word that has come from God the Father through God the Son has a purpose that will be fulfilled in His timing; and that every Word of God brings life and brings it more abundantly to all who will believe. (John 1:1-5; John 5:24; John 10:10; John 11:25-26)

~ SALVATION IN CHRIST ALONE ~

We believe that all of mankind has sinned and come short of God’s standard, and faces eternal separation from God because of sin. (Romans 3:23)

We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMasiach) died for us; paying the penalty for our sin and guilt and signing the pardon of all who by grace through faith believe on Him and place their faith in Him, thereby becoming the only way of reconciliation with God. We believe this pardon is not deserved, cannot be earned by good works or deeds, and is not available by any other name. It is the free gift of God by Christ Jesus alone. (John 3:16-18; Romans 5:8; Eph. 2:8-9)

~ SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER ~

We believe in the eternal security of every true believer who is sealed by the Holy Spirit under the terms of the New Covenant. We believe Jesus is the true Vine in which we abide and the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who will complete the good work begun in us. (1 Thessalonians 5:24; 2 Thessalonians 3:3; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 12:2; Romans 8:1-2; Romans 8:31-39; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Eph. 1:13-14; Eph. 2:8-9; Philippians 1:6; Jude 24; John 6:39; John 10:28; John 17:6-12; 1 Peter 1:3-4)

~ ORDINANCES OF THE BODY OF CHRIST ~

We believe in water baptism by immersion and that it is done in obedience to the command of the Lord Jesus Christ and is for the purpose of being an outward sign and testimony of an inward spiritual death and new birth. We believe it is only for those who have made a public commitment of faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior and are making an open expression of their desire to follow Him as Lord of their life. (Matt 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:36-39)

We believe in Holy Communion as an ordinance for all believers to participate in as a remembrance of the acts of Jesus Christ at the cross as he took our place for the remission of sin, guilt and sickness, and as a declaration of His death, Resurrection and Return. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Luke 22:19-20)

~ BRIDE OF CHRIST/BODY OF CHRIST/THE CHURCH ~

We believe these are three TITLES pertaining to the same entity; to wit, the body of true believers since the establishment of the Church on the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Church (1 Corinthians 12:12-13),the Bride of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2; Eph. 5:23-32; Rev. 19:7-8), the Body, of which Christ is the Head (Eph. 1:22; Eph. 4:15; Colossians 1:18).

~ PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE ~

We believe in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of all true believers (living and dead) to meet the Lord in the air and be taken out of this world prior to the Tribulation that will come upon the whole world. We further believe that all true believers that are also called The Church or The Body of Christ or The Bride, will be taken up to meet the Lord in the air whether or not they are watching for His return, or whether or not they have unconfessed sin in their life. Gods Word tells us that Salvation is by Grace, of Faith, and not based on keeping a set of rules or on our behavior. It is based on Gods covenant with all who believe and is secured by God’s own name. We believe that He is Faithful and will fulfill His covenant and promise. (Isaiah 26:19-21; Joel 2:15-16; Matthew 24:29-31; Luke 20:35; Luke 21:36; John 11:25-26; Romans 1:18; Romans 5:9; Philippians 3:14; Philippians 3:21; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Hebrews 9:28; 2 Peter 2:7-9; Rev. 3:10; Rev. 5:7-10; Rev. 7:13-14)
