Post your hope for August here! I copied this from Regina from another thread.

on the “Creators Calendar“, Aug 4 in Israel is the first day of the 5th month.

Numbers 33:38
Then Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor at the command of the Lord, and died there in the fortieth year after the sons of Israel had come from the land of Egypt, on the first day in the fifth month.

Ezra 7:8-10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 He came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king. 9 For on the first of the first month he began to go up from Babylon; and on the first of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, because the good hand of his God was upon him. 10 For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the Lord and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.

This video has a different interpretation of Daniel 12…or maybe a double fulfillment? This channel has some other videos that are way off track, but, I thought this one was interesting. It gives hope for the year 2020, but not a date. What do you think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=empzZMVDDfA

This website seems to think the 2nd Coming will occur on August 2, 2027.

I know … I’m laughing my head off about no calendar as well. Sadly I can’t live without mine with all the appointments for me and my dog and repairs needed or small appliances delivered. I also save the prior year too because I do have to refer back to it. The plumber installed a defective outdoor faucet and I had to glance back when it was done and it was still under warranty so he replaced it this spring without charge.

I used to have a simple life and only had to write down happy things like VACATION :mail: but those days are over … now its just one calamity after another to jot down.

I do wonder if we will have calendars in heaven keeping track of appointments, parties or will our guardian angels just remind us as they hand us :popcorn on the go … but then we aren’t subject to time … so we can’t ever be late.

Can’t remember. But there seem to be at least two dates for Aug. One has already passed.

Wishful thinking may be a cheap hope, but better than none!

Again, Sep does seem to be our best time upon which to hang the Blessed Hope upon!

I posted this before on another thread. I am wondering if Turkey will make a move on August 10th as it looks to be an important date to them:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_the_Ottoman_Empire

Notice that a treaty on August 10, 1920, marked the beginning of the partitioning of the Ottoman Empire. With this date coming up, I wonder what significance that could have. It seems like I read somewhere in the past that there was a 100 year goal to reestablish the Ottoman Empire. Could this be the day Turkey attacks?

Indeed the plans and politics of men no longer holds much interest for me anymore!

I’m already seated in heavenly places! Whatever brain cells I have left are dedicated to the sole endeavor of knowing His heart, and hearing His call!

My heart is well satisfied by seeing God’s prophetic word fulfilled!

I could’nt care who starts which war, or who planted what bomb!

Even so Lord, come quickly! We all languish Lord as time keeps us from You!

Here’s my hope for August. A few verses the Spirit laid on my mind:

Jesus speaking: “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.“ Luke 9:23 (KJV)

Paul said: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 (KJV) “I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” I Corinthians 15:31 (KJV)

From these verses it can be argued that we Christians are called to be the daily sacrifice, a replacement for the daily temple sacrifice that Jesus made void.
With that in mind the following verse in Daniel could be talking about the rapture of the Church:

“Yea, he (Antichrist) magnified himself even to the prince of the host (Jesus), and by him (Jesus) the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.” Daniel 8:11 (KJV)

The root Hebrew word translated “taken away” is hū·rām which can be translated “removed” or “bring up”. Instead of a temple animal sacrifice being stopped could it be that the Church is the object of this verse?

This taking away of the daily sacrifice is recounted again later in the chapter:

“Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed”. Daniel 8:13 & 14 (KJV)

Note that if this also applies to Antichrist removing a temple sacrifice then 2,300 days is a problem since he only has power for the last 42 months (1,260 days) of the seven year period. Some have tried to halve the 2,300 days into 1,150 days to make this work but most Hebrew scholars believe that 2,300 days is the correct translation.

So then if we determine when the sanctuary will be cleansed and count back 2,300 days, then we should find the time that the daily sacrifice is removed. The events in chapter 8 have a dual

narrative of history past and future. First it outlines events leading to the Temple desecration and eventual cleansing at the first Hanukkah of 164BC. Secondly it outlines events of the Little Horn (Antichrist) desecration by calling himself God (magnifying himself to be greater than Jesus, the prince of the host). This too eventually leads to a Temple cleansing possibly at a future Hanukkah just before the start of Christ’s millennial reign.

If Nisan 1 of 2027 starts the seventh millennium then the Hanukkah before this would start on December 5, 2026. 2,300 days before then would be August 18, 2020.

So we have another date we can watch for before the fall feasts roll around.

Another interesting observation is that a seven year period starting in December of 2019 would end in December of 2026 which we might anticipate being the end of the great tribulation. There are studies that conclude that Covid-19 reached epidemic levels in December of 2019. Perhaps this was the trigger God sent to ready things for the end of this age.

If this date passes without result then we watch on.

When I consider the continued and accelerated craziness in America and the world, it is impossibe to be interested in anything except the Blessed Hope of the Rapture. I don’t see revival around the corner. I see more chaos and despondency. Everyone has rights but no responsibilities. Romans chapter one is happening before our very eyes; God has turned many over to reprobate minds. So it’s only natural we want out of here because we don’t belong here. We don’t fit in. Thank you Jesus for that!

There is enough “wiggle room” for it to be the 17th. Israel is 8 hours ahead of Central Time Zone and they start the next day at sundown so our 17th may be their 18th at the right time.

Yes sir Kent, God still heeds the prayers of His children! Mark 11:22-23 “And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain be taken up and thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”

So I’ve not ever needed to move a mountain into the sea , never seen a need (just saying) but I do trust that He hears us when we cry out to Him — now I would not pray against His perfect Will or amiss, but I truly believe He would have us cry out to send the Bridegroom for the Bride! :prayer-hands:
most Hebrew scholars believe that 2,300 days is the correct translation.
No, they do not. Moreover, the number 2300 was a compromise between manuscripts which had either 2200 and 2400 Evenings and Mornings, which is not the same as “days.”

It started out as 2200 and some copyist repeated the words for 200, giving 2400 in some ancient version. Later on, it was decided that they would split the difference and render it as 2300. Nevertheless, the idiom refers to an evening and a morning sacrifice. In addition to that, the prophecy was fulfilled long ago by Antiochus Ephiphanes. The numbers do not correspond with what will be done by the future Man of Sin.

He understands our frames and the longing of our hearts! Especially with regards to a divine authored love affair!

He also truly loves and regards our prayers! He likes it when we turn to Him in all things. Being the ultimate supplier!

Even so, He also knows what is best!

I believe that all the prayers of the saints were already heard and answered before they were spoken!!

As such He has already shortened the length of Tribulation days.

As to whether Daniel 8:14 is speaking of 2,300 days or 1,150 days I would offer the many translations to be seen at: https://biblehub.com/daniel/8-14.htm
1,150 days are needed to make it work in the historic time frame of Antiochus Epiphanies.

As for Antiochus Epiphanies being the one spoken of in Daniel chapter 8 he is. And so is the Antichrist.
Antiochus never “waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.”Daniel 8:10 (KJV)
The angel Gabriel tells Daniel that the vision is for the time of the end in verse 8:17.

The angel went on to say “And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.” Daniel 8:26 This in reference to when the 2,300 days would come into play.

https://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/timeline-the-2300-2200-evenings-mornings-of-daniel.74285/

This subject bothers me because people begin to search for imagined future prophecies and ignore the accuracy of what has already been fulfilled.

There is a simple explanation for why the numbers in Daniel 8 and other chapters in Daniel do not correspond: They refer to the histories of two similar, yet different individuals.

As for “the time of the end,” in context it refers to the end of that kingdom, and not necessarily to the end of the age when Christ returns.

https://herealittletherealittle.net/index.cfm?page_name=Daniel11

The 11th and 12th chapters of Daniel are difficult to interpret. Chapter 12 inescapably speaks of the resurrection of the dead, which has not yet occurred. Chapter 11 covers a lot of ancient history, but where does the jump in time occur? Many put the gap at 11:36. Others want to put it even earlier than that.

I find it unlikely that the Antichrist will want to invade Egypt for its “treasures.” That doesn’t fit very well with the modern era, and there is a historical pattern that answers these verses already.

What do we do with the opening of chapter 12? We understand that the Church age puts the 70th week on hold, and it has remained there for almost 2,000 years. Any way you slice it, the text jumps in time from ancient history to the future between the 11th and 12 chapters.
