        Hello siblings,

I need to share what happened the last few days.

First, thank God for Ritan and that I can come here and share stuff and talk to sisters and brothers.

My manager has resigned. she is an an amazing manager. My colleagues are planning a potluck and want to get her a gift certificate. I was so busy the last few days that I did not read properly the posts from my colleagues regarding our plans. Then I noticed the amount we had to etransfer to get her a gift certificate. When you add up all the donations, it will be a $450 plus the food for the potluck. That is quiet a bit of money, I posted that this is too much money. Other colleagues said “we already agreed on this……….” Anyway, in the end I said I will transfer the amount but nobody should be suggesting such amounts to be donated for the gift. I did apologize at the end. they said it’s OK. I am doing the money transfer later tonight.

My super at the building has asked me for money several times. He said he is struggling financially and does not have enough food to it. I gave him $20 a few times to help out and said you can pay it back later. A few days later he says: I still didn’t get my money, I can’t pay it back.

then I tell him it’s Ok he can do this or that for me. I end up having him do stuff for me instead of paying me back.

I arrived home today, there was a text message from him saying that he only needs $10 cause he does not have enough food. I called him and shouted away. ( too much stress at work, big donation for my manager, my super trying to make me feel sorry that he needs help…………) I told him I can’t keep giving him money and that he still owes me $50. I told him to never again ask me for money.

he is coming in to bring a new stove so it will be awkard to see him. I also hope he doesn’t start harassing me or making my life uncomfortable in any way. I am shaking from being very tired and angry.

        thank you for reading this.

Sounds like you’ve had a tough week.

Maybe instead of giving him money you could give him some food. At least you’ll know that the money spent actually went to food and not something else that you would not have given him money for.

:prayer-hands: Lord, grant our sister your peace from her week of stress and wisdom to know how to handle the situations she faces.

Heidi, these days are stressful for sure, and you’ve spoken of stress for a while now off and on. I hope you are loving yourself by finding meaningful time away to do things you enjoy, alone or with others. It’s important to find and have those quiet times, where you can be filled up by whatever is good, where the Lord can refresh your soul.

I pray discernment for you in every situation, to close the doors to wherever the enemy is sending stress-filled situations your way. Praying the Lord will give you His peace, and to know what is of Him, and what is not. It is ok to know your limits, and to know where you can involve yourself, and where you shouldn’t, before the Lord.

The previous two verses plus the one Kolleen posted above are my go-to verses for stress. (Phil.4:6-7) “Be anxious for nothing…”

Also, Matthew 11:28-30. “Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy-laden…”

Also, John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you…”

And my favorite stress relieving verse, that literally saved me from more than a year of terrible insomnia — and gets me to sleep in no time (thank you Lord!): Isaiah 26:3 “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You”.

I believe it’s important to read these verses out loud from your Bible (or recite them) and do what the verse tells you to do. Think about the words. Stick with it — it sometimes takes a while for these powerful words to reach our inner beings because of distractions and worry in our minds. Stress can be so destructive — fight it with the Word! Trust Him — He wants to help us because He loves each one of us more than we can ever imagine!

Thanks.  Also for sleeping, Psalm 4:8, In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Oh dear.  In looking that up to copy it in I realized I’ve been saying Oh God instead of O LORD.  I hope He doesn’t mind.

I read the verses out loud and will continue to do so. I copied them on a word document.

Today was the last day my manager was at work. Feel like my safety blanket is gone. ( I know that’s a silly way of putting it)

She told me I can stay in touch and I can even ask her work related stuff if I needed, but to be careful not to mention her name and say she told me so because she is not the manager anymore.

She got a job at a big church. I am going to connect with her in 2 or 3 weeks and ask her if she wants to go out for lunch.

Whenever I mentioned to one of my colleagues that I want to leave my job, they tell me to think twice because you won’t easily find a manager like that. They were right so I stayed. Now that she has left, I can tell her that I need to leave that job too because of the stress level and maybe we can chat about it.

It is better to find a place of peace as much as possible, than work in a stress filled environment.  May the Lord lead you to the doors He can open for you to walk through. He knows your frame and He watches over you.

“I will instruct you (Heidi) and teach you in the way which you should go. I will guide you with My eye.” Ps 32

“And your ears shall hear a word behind you saying, this is the way, walk in it…” Is 30

“In You O Lord do I put my trust; let me never be put in to confusion…for God is not the author of confusion, but of peace” Ps 71 1 Cor 14

Heidi for so many years I went through tremendous trials and tribulations and I stood firmly on the following verse and it alone is what got me through the storm:

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for us.   1 Peter 5:7

And in the larger context of 1 Peter 5:8-9 – know that you’re not alone in these times of trouble and its nothing but the enemy who is scrambling as he knows his time is limited:

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

I found myself on my knees so many times praying “Father God I know you won’t give me anything that you haven’t equipped me to handle and this challenge is something that is beyond my capability to cope with.   I lay <name the problem I was struggling with> at your feet Father and ask you to take the burden off my shoulders.  In Jesus might name I pray”       Every time I put 1 Peter 5:7 into play my storms cleared and I was able to move forward.   The storms that used to rage in my life are no longer present.   I get an occasional rain shower now and then but I pull out my arsenal of tools and lay down 1 Peter 5:7 as the first line of defense and those rain showers quickly pass.    I have also gone from a mindset of “why me Lord?” to one of “Ok Lord, show me what you want to learn from this” – and that too has changed my outlook.   What I’ve found over the past 20 years is that every storm / rain cloud that has come my way was a preparation to help so many others who are facing the same challenges.   Without going through the storm I may not have been as powerful to help those in need.   God is preparing you to help others my sister.

Todd, thank you for the prayer. I was looking for prayers like that. I prayed it more than once.

It was scary today. I had to call my doctor twice and a colleague who is a doctor. I was s little better, now I am not feeling well again. Will call the doctor again tomorrow.

My doctor told me he had surgery with complications. He was away from work for over a months. (his absence also caused me anxiety cause he is available after hours for his patients and is a Cehristian)

That’s true, Kolleen. A place of peace is so much better. How hard it is to find it in the big city. I have been wanting to move to a small city for the longest time, but I haven’t for many reasons. There are more opportunities here, more things to do. I was told it can get lonely in a small city. Here we have cinema’s, many restaurants and coffee shops, ………………

Another good thing about my job is not just my manager but the other managers and all my colleagues. They are all good people and they are very supportive. it is HR and upper management that caused us a lot of problems with the mandates, but the other managers, supervisors,……………….most of them are very good people and compassionate.

When things got so much worse in the world with so much evil around us, going to a place with so many good people in it, made me feel safe and that this world has not totally gone crazy yet.

Many things I have to do are stressful and some clients are difficult. However, there are some nice and polite clients whom I like.

I have to run but take from some of this if the Spirit leads…

                                                      What are Demons?

Demons are the fallen angels that fell with the devil from heaven when the devil was sent away from heaven into the earth.

Demons are the unseen agents of the devil used against the Christians to attack them, and derail them from the fulfillment of destiny.

Demons are the spiritual enemy the devil is always engaging upon the lives of the Christian so as to make them lose focus and render their destiny unfulfilled.

As children of God we should know that we live in a spiritual world where the spiritual controls the physical. Everything that we see happening in the physical had earlier been orchestrated and finished in the spirit realm and the devil knew fully well the power and importance of the spirit realm in a man’s life. The devil therefore always attacks the children of God with physically Invisible battles to stop them and delay their progress and this is clearly showing the importance and power of praying the prayer of casting out demons in our lives as Christians either in our lives or everything that pertains to us. The prayer of ending battles in our lives cannot be underestimated because it is through this prayer we get our victory from the Invisible and stubborn demons of the enemy standing against us. The prayer of casting out demons is a prayer we should always pray every day of our lives because it is clearly proven to us that there are demonic powers and forces operating in the world and they are always at war with us as children of God.

Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”

                                                      To Cast Out Demons:

Powerful Prayer: Prayer is a very important and powerful tool in fighting and waging war against the devil in any way…. Acts 1:14 “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers”

Believing Faith: We must know that before anything can be given to us from God, then our….faith is required.  Matthew 21:22 “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

                                                      Prayers To Cast Out Demons

My Father, I thank you for the opportunity and privilege you have given me to live today and be among the living today in Jesus Name. Psalms 41:12 “You have preserved my life because I am innocent; you have brought me into your presence forever”

My Father, I thank you for your great and enduring protection upon me and my family in Jesus Name.
Psalms 18:2 “The lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.

He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety”

Father, I thank you for your continuous provision and supply upon me and my household in Jesus Name.
Psalms 68:10 “There your people finally settled, and with a bountiful harvest, O God, you provided for your needy people

Father, I worship your name for your loving kindness and favour upon my life, destiny and family in Jesus Name. Psalms 145:17 “The lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness”

Father, I thank you for your beautiful plans concerning me, my career, my business, my academics, my marriage, my family and my ministry in Jesus Name. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your redemption plans for the world, for sending your son to die for our sins. John 3:16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life”

Father, I thank you for your great forgiveness upon me…Luke 7:48 “Then Jesus said to the woman, ” Your sins are forgiven.”

I thank you for your grace, mercy and love upon me and my household in Jesus Name. Psalms 23:6 Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Oh Lord, tear down…every demon weighing me down in my journey of Life in Jesus Name.

Oh Lord, arise in your power and fight my battles to ensure my total victory in Jesus Name.

Lord, arise and put an end to all my secret battles in Jesus Name.

Father, make me victorious and give me reasons to be joyful in Jesus Name.

Exodus 15:2 “The lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.

This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him”

My Father, arise in your might and destroy all stubborn demons of my life and destiny…Psalms 98:1 “Sing a new song to the lord, for he has done wonderful deeds.

His right hand has won a mighty victory; his holy arm has shown his saving power”

Father,…destroy every….demon sent to destroy me in Jesus name.

Father, silence every evil and Invisible tongue pronouncing setback and stagnancy into my life in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, every arrow targeted at me by the evil…will backfire in Jesus name…oh Lord, I command…every evil demon working against me…(to) be rendered powerless in Jesus name.

Father, I decree that no evil plot and agenda…against my life, destiny, career, academics, business, family, marriage and ministry shall stand in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, today I subdue every demonic power manifesting in my life, career, academics, business, family, marriage and ministry in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, build your wall of fire and protection around me and my household…in Jesus name.

Father, send confusion into the camp of (the enemy)…let them be consumed in Jesus name.

Psalms 57:1 “Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection.

I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by”

My Father, protect and preserve me…Psalms 18:2 “The lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.

He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety”

Love that post Kolleen – powerful and so many Christians that I have met over my life are unaware of the level of  spiritual battles that are constantly going on all around us.   If we could only see I think we would be shocked.  But half the battle is understanding that there is a battle going on – the second half is using the power that we have to shoo away the enemy and your post covered that so perfectly.   Some of my Christian “friends” think I’m a little off kilter when I talk about the spiritual realm :mdrmdr:

Same here but won’t they be surprised when the veil is pulled back. They will be knocked off kilter when they get the full view.

It’s so nice to know that I am in great company. :rose:

I have a few “family” members and Christian “fiends” who also think I am a bit odd to be overly “aware and concerned” about the spiritual warfare going on around us.

But I agree Todd, if we actually saw it, I believe we, who are aware, would even be humbled by the fight.

So I will share that several years ago, I felt impressed to pray for my heavenly siblings that are fighting the battle and lift them to our Father for strength. :prayer-hands:

This battle is real and fierce, yet the battle is won and victory is sure. :yahoo:  the time is near and the end of evil as we have seen it and more so is coming to an end — praise to the God the Father for giving us Jesus, His Son to pay the price for our eternity and to the Spirit of God who guides us each step of the way.

Psalm 45:6 “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.”

Well I’m glad to be in such great company.   Maybe we should start up a new group and call ourselves the “Off Kilters”  — of which I am a proud member :-)

Sometimes in my own pee brain, I can imagine the battle of heavenly host, with swords and shields clanging. The evil is strong but the Lord’s army is stronger still. I can almost imagine them all around and the battle cry is victory as the enemy is held at bay because they have no power … they are a defeated foe. He has put on strength as his belt because of his enemy …. Psalm 93 is a favorite of my memory work …..

I would like to be a charter member of the “off Kilters” :mdrmdr:  and happily so. I would enlist each of the members to pray for our heavenly siblings…. :prayer-hands:

Soon we will be there and as the angel told John in Rev 22 — do not seal up this book for the time is near ….

And if a 1000 years is as a day, then the day is almost over :yahoo:

I appreciate the openness and encouragement to turn to our perfect, capable, loving, all-knowing, all powerful Savior in our times of fear, trouble, anxiety…

Heidi, you are receiving wisdom from God here for certain!  Just remember to really open up to Him personally and rely on Him to help you apply the wisdom He imparts in His Word and reminds us of by fellow Spirit-filled Believers.

I’ve recently been praying about laying my life before Him more fully- remembering that this is now His life- He lives within me and wants to truly be Lord!  Out of love and appreciation for shedding His blood to free me (from slavery to Satan, my sin nature & it’s resulting death) and making me a new creation with His life within me, I am learning to offer all of me to Him as a living holy sacrifice.

Having that perspective and telling Him/reminding myself that I am His removes the previously hidden- even to myself- motives and attitudes and thoughts that feed my anxiety (Pride in believing i can figure things out on my own, selfishness in wanting to make things happen the way i decide they should, etc. can be seen as determination and hard work, but He revealed to me that often my anxiety is not even about things He is currently wanting me to be doing.)

My patient Heavenly Father is teaching me more and more that real worry (not just concern, but holding on to fear & anxiety & feeding it etc.) about anything is- during those moments- a lack of faith in His ability and willingness to help…He tells me i can choose…in that exact moment…choose to trust, not ruminate or try harder on my own…He says He gives us a way out of temptation, but we have to recognize when we are being tempted and make a conscious choice to cry out to Him -and obey The Spirit’s promptings to pray or read His Word or do or not do whatever He leads -to get us out of a destructive mindset/behaviors etc.

This is definitely a struggle for me in those moments to make the right choice to call on Him instead of continuing sometimes full speed ahead in the wrong direction (that never leads me to more ability or better results….it only leads to wasted time, exhaustion a marred witness and hurt to my treasured relationships.)

Tammie- thank you for praying for your fellow siblings!  I need to more often as well…that’s one thing we can always do and you are right- it is powerful in the spiritual realm!

i’m happy to be off kilter as well!  i’m thankful to not visibly see the evil spiritual side of things- The Lord knows most of us can’t handle it in our current fleshly state….I look forward to my glorified self that can look on it all with pure joy in the Victory of our King without any fearfulness of evil!  I think the glory of His goodness, His Godness is more than we can handle currently too!  But one day, hopefully soon, we will be revealed with Christ Jesus in glory!  And all His majesty will chase away all our fears (and doubts and worries and pain and suffering) for all of Eternity!

I’m excited to meet all of y’all in the air, too!  Going to see family soon most of whom i haven’t seen in years…but how cool that we also have such a huge long distance family all around the world spiritually that we haven’t ever met but are united in an intimate way- by the same Holy Spirit within each of us!
