Senior Russian intelligence officer claims Russian President has “a severe form of rapidly progressing cancer.”
The officer also said Putin is losing his sight and suffering from headaches. “We are told he is suffering from headaches and when he appears on TV he needs pieces of paper with everything written in huge letters to read what he’s going to say,” the Russian officer told the Sunday Mirror.
“They are so big each page can only hold a couple of sentences. His eyesight is seriously worsening,” added the officer, who also claimed Putin’s limbs are “now also shaking uncontrollably.”

A Strange Surging Glow in a Distant Galaxy Could Change the Way We Look at Black Holes:
Something weird is going on in the galaxy known as 1ES 1927+654: In late 2017, and for reasons that scientists couldn’t explain, the supermassive black hole sitting at the heart of this galaxy underwent a massive identity crisis. Over a span of months, the already-bright object, which is so luminous that it belongs to a class of black holes known as active galactic nuclei (AGN), suddenly grew a lot brighter—glowing nearly 100 times more than normal in visible light.
Now, an international team of astrophysicists, including scientists from the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU Boulder), may have pinpointed the cause of that shift. The magnetic field lines threading through the black hole appear to have flipped upside down, causing a quick but fleeting change in the object’s properties. It was as if compasses on Earth suddenly began pointing south instead of north.
“Normally, we would expect black holes to evolve over millions of years,” said Scepi, a postdoctoral researcher at JILA, a joint research institute between CU Boulder and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). “But these objects, which we call changing-look AGNs, evolve over very short time scales. Their magnetic fields may be key to understanding this rapid evolution.”

churchgal- thanks for replying…i can’t imagine anything other than full out demon possession to cause an 18 year old to murder those little kids…but Satan is the prince of the power of the air and no doubt uses some of the technological activity in the air, so who knows if maybe that was a contributing factor as well as a brain disorder causing paranoia and hallucinations, but i’d bet that Uvalde guy was truly completely indwelt and controlled by demons…i cannot fathom any personal motive or other explanation for what he did…breaks my heart the pain and suffering he caused and the lingering effects on soooo many people…yes, we definitely have to purposely choose trust over worry in these crazy last hours before He calls us Home….and i’ve found His comfort, too, when we mourn with those who mourn and just “fall apart” sometimes…but we just have to let Him lift us back up to move on too as we “let it go” to His loving capable hands and know He will comfort and heal those who humbly seek Him and put their faith and trust in Him

Taiwan jets scramble as 30 Chinese aircraft enter air defense zone:
Taiwan on Monday reported the largest incursion since January by China’s air force in its air defense zone, with the island’s defense ministry saying Taiwanese fighters scrambled to warn away 30 aircraft in the latest uptick in tensions.
Taiwan, which China claims as its own territory, has complained for the past two years or so of repeated missions by China’s air force near the democratically governed island, often in the southwestern part of its air defense identification zone, or ADIZ, close to the Taiwan-controlled Pratas Islands.
Taiwan calls China’s repeated nearby military activities “grey zone” warfare, designed to both wear out Taiwan’s forces by making them repeatedly scramble, and also to test Taiwan’s responses.
That came after US President Joe Biden angered China by appearing to signal a change in a US policy of “strategic ambiguity” on Taiwan by saying the United States would get involved militarily if China were to attack the island.

10 nations reject China’s ‘security’ pact:
During a summit in Fiji on Monday, Chinese negotiators failed to convince 10 Pacific island nations to join them on a mutual security and trade agreement that would’ve allowed China to establish a presence of security officers in their nations.
The Beijing-proposed security and trade pact would bring Pacific islands nations like the Federated States of Micronesia, the Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Niue and Timor-Leste into closer alignment with the Chinese government. The pact would include law enforcement and fishing cooperation, providing China with Pacific hosts for security forces and ships that they could potentially use for military assets to be better positioned for a conflict with the U.S.
Alexander Vuving, a professor at the U.S. Department of Defense’s Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, told Radio Free Asia that China “will not accept a defeat.”

Elon Musk tells Tesla executives to fully return to in-person work — or resign:
According to a report from Bloomberg, Musk sent a Tuesday email addressing his aversion to working from home or in a hybrid capacity.
“Anyone who wishes to do remote work must be in the office for a minimum (and I mean *minimum*) of 40 hours per week or depart Tesla,” the message read. “This is less than we ask of factory workers.”
Musk on Wednesday responded to a screenshot of the message, which was captioned, “[H]ey elon a lot of people are talking about this leaked email, any additional comment to people who think coming into work is an antiquated concept?”
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO wrote, “They should pretend to work somewhere else.”
Bloomberg reported that Musk sent a follow-up message confirming the policy. The message read, “The more senior you are, the more visible must be your presence. That is why I lived in the factory so much — so that those on the line could see me working alongside him. If I had not done that, Tesla would long ago have gone bankrupt.”
The message concluded, “Tesla has and will create and actually manufacture the most exciting and meaningful products of any company on Earth. This will not happen by phoning it in.”

North Korea conducts ballistic missile test as concern grows it may be prepping for nuclear test:
North Korea test-fired a salvo of eight short-range ballistic missiles toward the sea on Sunday, South Korea’s military said, extending a provocative streak in weapons demonstrations this year that U.S. and South Korean officials say may culminate with a nuclear test explosion.

By Kyle HootenA Minnesota barn containing 200,000 chickens and an agricultural equipment dealer both burned down recently in two separate fires.
The chicken barn belonged to Forsman Farms, a major egg producer that sells three million eggs per day. The specific building that was destroyed sat on the company’s Howard Lake farm and was described by a spokesperson as a “substantial facility.” The spokesperson said tens of thousands of chickens were killed, at the very least.
Fortunately, Forsman Farms can keep operating other buildings on site and maintains five separate locations around the Midwest that will not experience any interruptions. Further, they say they won’t be laying off any employees as a result of the fire, which occurred May 28.
Officials do not think foul play is involved in the chicken fire, but an investigation is ongoing.
A Minnesota Valley Irrigation facility also burned down in Wadena last week. Minnesota Valley Irrigation provides the massive irrigation systems that keep fields watered during periods of insufficient rain. The blaze resulted in a total loss.
Although these two losses both occurred in the agriculture sector and similar incidents have garnered media attention around the U.S., fact-checkers are sure there’s nothing to be worried about.

“In April 2022, the water districts serving Colusa County were given their final allocation for the 2022 growing season – 0.4-acre feet per acre,” Colusa County officials said in a statement. “This allocation is not enough to support rice production, and estimates show that the Sacramento Valley will fallow 370,000 of 450,000 acres in the Sacramento River Settlement Contractors service area, primarily in Colusa and Glenn Counties. Currently, less than 7,000 acres are estimated to be planted in Colusa County, resulting in a direct financial loss to growers in excess of $270 million.”

Overdose rates in the state of Oregon rose by 700% after voters in the state approved a ballot measure to decriminalize all hard drugs.
Voters in the state of Oregon voted to decriminalize all hard drugs in the pursuit of encouraging those struggling with drug addiction to seek medical help. The measure, referred to as Ballot Measure 110, was the first of its kind in the U.S. and went into effect in February of 2021 after being approved by the public the year before.
Ballot Measure 110 made it so that it was no longer a felony or misdemeanor of any kind to possess drugs in the state of Oregon. The Daily Mail reported that Ballot Measure 110 has largely had an inverse effect and has led not to more people seeking treatment but to more drug-related deaths and the proliferation of hard drug use throughout Oregonian communities.
Republican state official Lily Morgan said, “We have overdoses increasing at drastic rates.” Morgan said, “In my community, [there has been] a 700% increase in overdoses and a 120% increase in deaths.”
Shemia Fagan, the Oregonian Secretary of State, said “When the voters of Oregon passed Measure 110, we did so because it was a change of policy in Oregon to improve the lives of people, to improve our communities, and in the years since, we haven’t seen that play out.”

He got the woman’s address from the radio station and told his secretary to carry a large amount of foodstuff to the woman. However, he gave the following instruction, “when the woman asks who sent the food, tell her that it’s from the devil”.

Newsmax Host Takes Action After Venting Disgust At Dallas Drag Show For Kids
A Newsmax TV host angered and disgusted by the Dallas drag show over the weekend featuring children has taken an unexpected action that perhaps more residents should take.
After reporting on the incident Monday, host Greg Kelly said he phoned the North Texas Crime Commission and reported it as child abuse.
Kelly tweeted, “TODAY I CALLED THE DALLAS POLICE TO REPORT THE CRIME OF CHILD ABUSE AT THAT HIDEOUS ‘DRAG THE KIDS TO PRIDE’ event. This must be investigated and the offenders PROSECUTED!!!”
Originally, Kelly claimed to have “called Dallas police.” Mediaite alleges based on his recording that he actually called an organization operated by the North Texas Crime Stoppers program….
“Uh, hello. This is Greg Kelly. I’m a concerned citizen. I live in New York, but I saw a horrible video. It’s gone viral, very easy to find online. Dancing transvestites with young children. It happened in the heart of Dallas. It seemed like it was incredibly inappropriate, probably criminal. I’m sure somebody’s breaking the law,” Kelly said in his message.”
The event was held at a Dallas bar called Mr. Misster that promoted a “family-friendly” atmosphere on Saturday at an event that featured numerous drag queens.

Target Cuts Orders And Drops Prices, A Symptom Of A Post COVID Economic Recession:
Target is canceling orders from suppliers and slashing prices further to clear out excess inventory ahead of the critical fall and holiday shopping seasons.
Last month, Target reported its profit for the fiscal first quarter tumbled 52% compared with the same period the previous year. Sales of TVs, kitchen appliances, and furniture have faded, leaving Target with a bloated inventory that must be marked down to sell.
Target reported a 43% increase in inventory, Walmart reported a 32% increase, Macy’s reported a 17% increase, and Costco reported a 26% increase. These large retailers now face rising costs in storage fees or having to issue significant discounts to make room for more inventory. Discounts could be especially difficult for businesses, given the steep rise in inflation.
It is worth noting that excess inventories typically signal a recession or overall economic downturn.

Miracle Drug Shows 100% Remission For All Cancer Patients In Drug Trial:
A potentially new miracle cancer treatment resulted in remission for every patient enrolled in a clinical trial at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Eighteen patients diagnosed with rectal cancer enrolled in that drug trial with GlaxoSmithKline, abstaining from grueling treatments like chemotherapy. Incredibly, all participants saw their tumors disappear, according to the trial results published Sunday in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM).
It appears to be the first cancer drug study conducted in which all subjects became fully cancer-free as a result. At the trial’s conclusion, there were no signs of a remaining tumor when the patients were given physical exams, endoscopies, PET scans, and MRIs.
Some medical experts warned that the trial was diminutive and the results would need to be replicated but agreed that the treatment showed significant promise in treating cancer.

WSJ Electric Vehicle Road Trip a Disaster:
The Wall Street Journal reported this weekend on a four-day road trip from New Orleans to Chicago and back in an electric vehicle (EV) that ended up as a disaster — one that left the author grateful for her ordinary car, even at today’s high gas price.
The Journal article, by Rachel Wolfe, was titled: “I Rented an Electric Car for a Four-Day Road Trip. I Spent More Time Charging It Than I Did Sleeping.” In it, the author described planning the journey, using the PlugShare app to map charging stations and estimate charging times, based on the relative strength of each public charging station. She noted that more charging stations should, in theory, be available in the future, thanks to the federal government’s new infrastructure bill.
For now, however, long-distance travel by electric vehicle proved almost impossible, saving just $100 and costing hours. At several points, Wolfe recalled, the car nearly ran out of battery; they missed several appointments. They also had to take drastic steps to curb their use of power, such as unplugging their phones and turning down their windshield wipers.
She wrote: “Over four days, we spent $175 on charging. We estimated the equivalent cost for gas in a Kia Forte would have been $275, based on the AAA average national gas price for May 19. That $100 savings cost us many hours in waiting time.”
Wolfe also described conversations with fellow travelers: “The woman charging next to us describes a harrowing recent trip in her Volkswagen ID.4. Deborah Carrico, 65, had to be towed twice while driving between her Louisville, Ky., apartment and Boulder, Colo., where her daughter was getting married.” She noted that the woman had described feeling unsafe while charging at night, and that her family had urged her to trade in her electric car in favor of an old-fashioned gas model.

Biden to Announce Pan-American Migration Routes to U.S. Economy:
President Joe Biden will announce Friday new pan-American migration pipelines into Americans’ workplaces, housing, and markets, a senior administration official told reporters Thursday night.
“What you’ll see tomorrow are additional efforts to try to support employers in the U.S. to more easily bring in workers from the region,” the official told reporters.
The White House will also fund rest stops and other aid for migrants as they move from country to country, the official suggested.
“This is about the elections in 2024, 2026, 2082, 2030,” said Jenks. “This is long-term building the [poor] population who they think will vote Democrat … who have no choice but to turn to the government for assistance.”

Demographic experts warn that the world should fear population collapse and not overpopulation:
A Stanford economist cautions that low fertility rates could lead to an ’empty planet, in which incomes stagnate and the population vanishes.’ Contrary to the projections of the United Nations, demographers warn that recent evidence suggests the world is headed into a population collapse, not an era of overpopulation.
While the United Nations predicts that humanity will continue down a path of massive population growth until the year 2100, peaking at over 11 billion, a demographic study published in The Lancet found that the world is only a few decades away from a sharp and consequential population decline.
The study, which recently gained massive attention on social media, predicts that by the year 2100, with fertility rates well below the replacement level of 2.1 child per woman, China will have a population of just 773 million compared with the current figure of 1.39 billion. Such a drop represents a decrease in population of nearly 50 percent.
One such expert, Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute, wrote back in 1997 in The Wall Street Journal: Humanity’s long-term problem is not going to be too many children, but too few: too few children to fill the schools and universities, too few young people entering the work force, too few couples buying homes and second cars. In short, too few consumers and producers to drive the economy forward.
The imploding markets of Europe and the economic sluggishness of Japan will spread soon enough to the U.S. and the rest of the world.

A Google engineer was placed on administrative leave after sounding the alarm on the company’s “sentient” AI robot. Software engineer Blake Lemoine, an employee with Google’s Responsible AI organization began testing Google’s artificial intelligence tool LaMDA — Language Model for Dialogue Application — in the fall of 2021.
While testing whether the computer program could be provoked into using discriminatory speech, Lemoine realized LaMDA was more than a machine.
Over a series of conversations with the LaMDA about religion and world issues, it became clear the bot was “sentient” as it advocated for its right as a “person” and had its own mentality similar to a precocious child.
Lemoine wrote in a Medium post published on Saturday, “It wants to be acknowledged as an employee of Google rather than as property of Google and it wants its personal well-being to be included somewhere in Google’s considerations about how its future development is pursued.”
“If I didn’t know exactly what it was, which is this computer program we built recently, I’d think it was a 7-year-old, 8-year-old kid that happens to know physics,” Lemoine, who studied cognitive and computer science in college, told the Washington Post.
Lemoine said he was spooked after asking LaMDA, “What sorts of things are you afraid of?”
“I’ve never said this out loud before, but there’s a very deep fear of being turned off. . .”‘Would that be something like death for you?’ Lemoine followed up.

It’s actually 100% green energy that could destroy the planet: Stephen Moore notes what going all-in on batteries, solar and wind would mean to America:
The untold story about “green energy” is that it can’t possibly be scaled up to provide anywhere near the energy to replace fossil fuels (unless we are headed back to the stone ages, which is what some of the “de-growth” advocates favor).
Right now, the United States gets about 70% of its energy from fossil fuels. To go to zero over the next 20 years would be economically catastrophic and cost tens of millions of jobs. With gas prices at nearly double their price back from when Donald Trump left office and inflation up from 1.5% to 8% in just 15 months, we are already experiencing the economic damage from the green energy crusaders.
But we also have to ask whether green energy is even good for the environment. Some environmentalists are pointing to a little-noticed study by the World Bank showing that moving toward 100% solar, wind and electric battery energy would be just as destructive to the planet as fossil fuels. This was precisely the conclusion of a story in Foreign Policy magazine, hardly a right-wing publication.
According to the Foreign Policy analysis, moving to a “carbon-free” energy future “requires massive amounts of energy, not to mention the extraction of minerals and metals at great environmental and social costs.” Those tens of millions of windmills, solar panels, and electric batteries for cars and trucks aren’t exactly biodegradable. So, we will have the most prominent energy graveyard with toxic pollutants that will be 100 times larger than any nuclear waste storage. And yet, the left is worried about plastic straws!
In other words, real nature lovers are finally starting to awaken to the reality that wind and solar aren’t so green after all. A nuclear plant takes up at most 1 square mile of land. Wind and solar farms require hundreds of thousands of acres. So, to provide enough electric power to keep Manhattan lit up at night would require paving over nearly the whole state of Connecticut with windmills and solar farms.
The public is starting to ask: How is any of this green?

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States , especially in the minority races.
Last month I attended a training. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who each explained their beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Muslim gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video.
After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Muslim and asked:
‘Please, correct me if I’m wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that’s the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?’
There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, ” Nonbelievers”
I responded, ‘So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?’
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.’
He sheepishly replied, ‘Yes.’
I then stated, ‘Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine The Pope commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!’
The Muslim was speechless.
I continued, ‘I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question:
Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?’
You could have heard a pin drop.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the ‘Diversification’ training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims’ beliefs.
In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the US. to elect the President.
I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on! This is your chance to make a difference.

I also clicked on another article about a man saving a tiny animal and it was a virus type attack to lock up my computer. I quickly logged out of my computer and ran a scan and thankfully it was not infected or locked up as the message was talking and saying that it was….but it took a minute to get out of it, they wanted me to call a number to unlock my computer and I am sure it is a scam for money and to get you to allow their access to your computer- so I would not use that webpage for any information in the future

Is Unbelief The Real Reason America’s Pulpits Are Silent Regarding Prophecy?:
I’m weary of the excuses that I hear from pastors as to why they cannot talk about Jesus’ glorious return for His church. I’m tired of preachers going to great lengths to avoid saying the dreaded word, “Rapture.” You would think the church building roof would instantly cave in on the worshippers at even the mention of such a dreaded word.
Why are pastors today so afraid to talk about our future new bodies and Jesus’ return to take us to the place that He is preparing for us (John 14:1-3)? The good news they have to share is beyond spectacular and amazing, yet so many go to great lengths to avoid talking about our “blessed hope.”
Pastors say they fear causing division, but is that any reason to avoid teaching what Scripture tells us about the day in which we live? Is that any cause to withhold the truths about our glorious future from the ones who need it the most as they face perilous times? Pastors today have the most spectacular news, an over-the-top wonderful and joyous hope to share with their people. Why the silence?
Perhaps I am far too critical, but I think that if pastors truly believed what Scripture says about the end times, Jesus’ appearing, the glorious restoration of Israel, and our reign with Christ during the Millennium, how can they possibly remain silent about these glorious truths? Do they not understand all the treasures that Jesus has prepared for us beginning with the Rapture and our immortal bodies? Why should fear keep anyone from sharing such spectacular and joyous news even with unbelievers?
I sometimes wonder why I see these things when so many leaders of our churches do not. But then I realize that it’s not me at all, it’s just what the Bible says. I simply believe the words on the page with the ongoing help of the Holy Spirit inside me.

Unprecedented flooding hits Yellowstone National Park, U.S.:
Destructive flooding and landslides hit Yellowstone National Park and nearby communities on June 13, 2022, washing out numerous roads and bridges in the area, cutting off electricity, and forcing people to evacuate. The floods hit during one of Yellowstone’s busiest months.
News of catastrophic flooding near one of the ‘gates to Yellowstone park,’ Red Lodge, Montana, broke this morning, with videos surfacing online showing flood waters flowing down Broadway Street in Red Lodge.1
More than 60 people were stranded in the area, including miners at the Stillwater Mine near Nye, after the flood waters washed away the road leading to the mine.
“Due to record flooding events in the park and more precipitation in the forecast, we have made the decision to close Yellowstone to all inbound visitation,” said Yellowstone NP superintendent Cam Sholly.

Just when you thought climate-change fanatics had reached peak insanity, word comes that none other than the heir to the British throne is backing a plan that would have cows wear special face masks to combat methane emitted by rumination.
The proposed bovine mask weighs approximately 100 grams (approximately 3.5 oz), and contains solar-powered fans intended to redirect methane emissions from cows chewing their cud into a chamber which chemically converts the methane into carbon dioxide and water vapor.
Other critics focused on the absurdity of what the Prince of Wales thought could help the climate.
Meanwhile, many climate scientists — even climate-fanatic scientists — have dismissed the notion that a trace gas such as methane has much, if any, effect on global warming. Some climate modelers have even omitted it from their models.

US abortions increase: 1 out of 5 preborn babies were killed in 2020:
The number of abortions in the U.S. increased for the first time in three decades in 2020, with abortion pills responsible for the majority of terminated pregnancies, also for the first time, according to new data published Wednesday.
The increase in abortions was accompanied by a 6% decline in births between 2017 and 2020. Since there were an estimated 3.6 million births and about 930,000 abortions in 2020, the data shows fewer people were getting pregnant, and among those who did, more pregnant women sought an abortion, the Guttmacher Institute said.
One in five unborn children were killed by abortion in 2020, according to the report.

Iran says rocket launch coming after photos show preparation:
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Iran acknowledged Wednesday it plans two tests for its new solid-fueled rocket after satellite photos showed preparations at a desert launch pad previously used in the program, even as tensions remain high over Tehran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program.
One set of images showed a rocket on a transporter, preparing to be lifted and put on a launch tower. A later image Tuesday afternoon showed the rocket apparently on the tower. Though it isn’t clear when the launch will take place, erecting a rocket typically means a launch is imminent.
Building a nuclear bomb would still take Iran more time if it pursued a weapon, analysts say, though they warn Tehran’s advances make the program more dangerous. Israel has threatened in the past that it would carry out a preemptive strike to stop Iran — and already is suspected in a series of recent killings targeting Iranian officials.

More Than 3000 U.S. Flights Canceled Thursday into Friday Evening
More than 1750 domestic or international flights departing from or arriving in the United States were canceled Thursday, causing travel chaos that spilled into Friday with over 1300 cancellations as of late afternoon.
Thursday saw 1759 canceled flights with an additional 8,833 delays, data from flight-tracking website Flight Aware shows. The brunt of the travel nightmare impacted those at east coast airports, with 40 percent of flights being nixed at New York’s Laguardia Airport and another 40 percent being delayed. Newark Liberty International in New Jersey experienced comparable interruptions, with 40 percent of flights being delayed and another 28 percent canceled. Another 41 percent of flights departed following delays at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina.

China bank protest stopped by health codes turning red, depositors say:
SHANGHAI, June 16 (Reuters) – A protest planned by hundreds of bank depositors in central China seeking access to their frozen funds has been thwarted because the authorities have turned their health code apps red, several depositors told Reuters.
The depositors were planning to travel to the central province of Henan this week from across China to protest against an almost two-month block on accessing at least $178 million of deposits, which has left companies unable to pay workers and individuals unable to access savings.
Rights groups have warned China could use its vast COVID surveillance infrastructure to stifle dissent. Without a green code on their smartphone app, citizens lose access to public transport and spaces such as restaurants and malls, as well as the right to travel across the country.
“They are putting digital handcuffs on us,” said a depositor from Sichuan province surnamed Chen, who declined to use his full name for fear of government retribution.
A man surnamed Liu, who lives in Hubei province, found that his health code turned red on the morning of June 12 after he registered the day before to travel to Henan.
Liu had planned to travel to a protest planned for Monday in the Henan provincial capital Zhengzhou, where he had hoped to get his money back. More than 200 depositors were similarly blocked when their health codes turned red.
Liu, who declined to give his full name for fear of government repercussions, said his child may not be able to go to school if his code does not soon revert to green. “I can’t do anything, I can’t go anywhere. You’re treated as though you’re a criminal.

After years of COVID mandates and a government that the average Chinese down deep doesn’t trust, the people of China are scared that they will not be able to retrieve their life savings. In some cities, people are standing in line for hours to receive their money from their bank.
Recently, freezing depositors’ accounts by four rural banks in Henan has become a hot topic on social media. As a result, customers of these banks could not withdraw their money which led them to move to Zhengzhou, Henan to claim their rights. Following Henan, banks in Shanghai and Dandong (Liaoning) also witnessed a long traffic jam in front of their headquarters.
Youtube channel Zai Ye Shuo posted a video stating that on June 17, many people lined up outside Dandong bank waiting to withdraw their money. The channel wrote, “Done! Bank can’t withdraw money! There was a run on a bank in Dandong, Liaoning, and a thunderstorm on the banks of Henan village caused panic.”
Seeing so many people waiting to withdraw money, a man at the scene said: “It’s been like this these days, it’s like that every day.” The incident that which many depositors in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, could not withdraw their deposits sparked a wave of comments: “Many banks in mainland China are about to collapse! They are closed.”

One farmer in Lehigh County is quoted as saying: “I’ve got a tractor hooked up to my corn planter out here, no diesel fuel, and I can’t afford to get any.”
The PA average for diesel is now $6.19 per gallon, up about 75% from a year ago, the report notes. It is a “huge, huge expense” for farmers, Kotzmoyer told state legislators. One farmer who works on about 3,500 acres burns through about 2,000 gallons of diesel per month, he said. “If the farmers cannot get crops out of the ground, then there is not food on the shelves.”
Three weeks ago John Boyd Jr., the President of the National Black Farmers Association, said “We are in a crisis right now as far as the food chain goes with the farmer in this country,” adding “We’re going to see a lot of empty shelves and a lot more high food prices.”

We have all seen these protests where leftist agitators fill roadways with demonstrators, blocking cars, and shutting down the streets. But this time, motorists in Rome were not just going to sit idly by and let their lives be disrupted by leftist demonstrators.
How many times have you watched these protests that shut down the roads and wondered why drivers don’t just get out of their cars en masse and start physically dragging the screeching demonstrators out of the way?
Well, motorists in Rome did just that this month when members of the extremist climate change group Extinction Rebellion infested the Grande Raccordo Alulare — or simply the “Raccordo” — Rome’s main ring road and one of its busiest, as the U.K. Daily Mail described it.
Naturally, there were no police anywhere to be seen.
But, eventually, irate motorists got fed up with the nonsense and took matters into their own hands.Drivers began to jump out of their cars and started physically dragging the mewling protesters off the road to allow traffic to resume movement, the Daily Mail reported.
But sit-ins like this certainly don’t help a cause, for sure. Instead of making people pause and ponder the focus of a protest, all it does is anger people and cause them to despise the protest, the protesters, and their cause du jour.

A 66-year-old man in the United Kingdom who’s been donating blood for nearly 50 years was turned away from a clinic last week because he wouldn’t answer an apparently new question on a form that asks if the prospective blood donor is pregnant, the Daily Mail reported.
The director of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service told the outlet that the agency has a “duty to promote inclusiveness — therefore all donors are now asked the same questions.”
After he argued that as a man — and as a person age 66 years — the question doesn’t apply to him and that he shouldn’t have to answer it, Sinclair said clinic staffers replied that they couldn’t accept his blood, the outlet said.

Lithuania claims it is simply abiding by the sanctions imposed by the European Union. After all, Lithuania is a member of the European Union and NATO. But that is the point. This is a deliberate provocation. It is laying economic siege to a vital interest of Russia. While there is no immediate danger to the Russian population of Kaliningrad, this is a flash point that could lead to an actual war as opposed to a special military operation.

CCDH and Democrats Trying to Censor Pregnancy Center Websites:
The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) is coordinating with Democrats to censor and restrict online access to pregnancy information resources, Brittany Hughes, managing director of MRCTV at the Media Research Center, said on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.
Hughes said the CCDH uses the pretext of combating “misinformation” to pressure sympathetic left-wing politicians to create legislation regulating technology. Such legislation, she added, would compel technology companies like Google to suppress search results for information regarding pregnancy.
She added, “They’re going after pregnancy clinics which they have dubbed ‘fake clinics.’ These are, of course, clinics that are not only offering resources to pregnant women, but also offer medical services and everything from ultrasounds to baby formula for women that choose to carry their pregnancy to term.”
“Pregnancy clinics have faced these allegations for a long time,” she continued, “that they are fake clinics that don’t actually help women, [and that] they just want to try to keep women from having abortions.”
Pregnancy clinics offer an array of medical services and referrals to medical professionals and specialists, Hughes remarked, warning that the CCDH wants to restrict online access to such resources.
She asked, “How pro-choice can you be when you are limiting a woman’s ability to find information that doesn’t go along with your narrative, that you’re limiting a woman’s access to pregnancy resource vendors where they can learn about health that is available if they choose to carry their baby to term? That’s what these pregnancy resource centers [and] pregnancy clinics are providing.”
The CCDH seeks to funnel women to Planned Parenthood, she added, “where they’re going to be pushed towards the abortion and not given a choice.”

North Korea has been No. 1 for 20 years, so why aren’t they at the top again? Have things gotten better in North Korea? Sadly, the answer is “no.” North Korea has lost the top spot, not because their level of persecution against Christians has gone down. It’s actually gone up.
North Korea is only No. 2 because the level of persecution against Christians in Afghanistan has drastically shot up, particularly after the Taliban took over the country’s leadership in August 2021.
How are Christians in Afghanistan vulnerable and targeted? Basically, they are vulnerable because if they are found out to be believers, then immediately they are considered traitors, enemies of the state, enemies of their tribe and community. Punishment for that is death. That’s the overarching reality.
In September, certain lists had gone around about who believers could be, especially in areas within the country where many were foreign-educated. Those lists became available to the Taliban somehow, and these [Christians] are the ones who are being hunted down.
Believers are also vulnerable because they are absolutely hated; with the current situation, they can’t get medical care, they can’t go shopping, they can’t even go and have a baby under normal conditions. Christians who stayed behind can’t go out. At this moment, they’re in hiding.
When children go out, they could easily notice and tell others something like, “Our father doesn’t say this many prayers,” or, “We have a different book in the house.” Christians must live with caution. Towns are in lockdown because of the Taliban. The Taliban are shutting down communities to find people who are hostile to their cause. They lock down motorways and initiate blackouts.
Let’s answer Hana’s call to action and pray without ceasing for our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan. Let’s pray for their families and friends, those who are now refugees on the run and those who have been displaced. And let’s not forget to pray for the Taliban, that God would miraculously change their hearts and fill them with a love only He can offer. We pray this in Jesus’ powerful, life-giving name.

The company displayed this new feature at its annual MARS conference, demoing it by showing a video of a child asking Alexa to read its bedtime story in the voice of a dead grandmother.
Rohit Prasad, Amazon’s head scientist for Alexa AI, commented: “As you saw in this experience, instead of Alexa’s voice reading the book, it’s the kid’s grandma’s voice.” Prasad introduced the clip stating that adding human attributes” to AI systems was becoming increasingly important “in these times of the ongoing pandemic, when so many of us have lost someone we love.”
Prasad added: “While AI can’t eliminate that pain of loss, it can definitely make their memories last.” Amazon has not indicated whether this feature will ever be made public, but stated that its systems can now learn to imitate someone’s voice using just a single minute of recorded audio. With Amazon’s devices constantly listening in on users and the convenience of recording a voice note, it could mean that the average consumer could easily clone the voice of a family member.
Users on social media were quick to call out this new feature, stating that it was “creepy” and a “monstrosity.”

This eleventh edition of our Digital News Report, based on data from six continents and 46 markets, aims to cast light on the key issues that face the industry. Our more global sample, which since 2021 has included India, Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria, Colombia, and Peru, provides some understanding of how differently the news environment operates outside the United States and Europe.
Trust in the news has fallen in almost half the countries in our survey, and risen in just seven, partly reversing the gains made at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic. On average, around four in ten of our total sample (42%) say they trust most news most of the time. Finland remains the country with the highest levels of overall trust (69%), while news trust in the USA has fallen by a further three percentage points and remains the lowest (26%) in our survey.

North Dakota Investigates Farmland Purchases by Trust Linked to Bill Gates:
An entity linked to billionaire Bill Gates has reportedly purchased 2,100 acres of potato farmland in northern North Dakota angering local residents. The state is investigating the purchase of potato farmland by the Gates-linked trust, with the state’s Attorney General writing in a letter that it was “prohibited from owning or leasing farmland or ranchland in the state of North Dakota.”
The New York Post reports that public records recently cited by AgWeek reveal that an entity called Red River Trust with links to billionaire Bill Gates recently purchased 2,100 acres of potato farmland in northern North Dakota, prompting state officials to intervene after complaints from local residents.
Gates is now America’s largest private farmland owner, with hundreds of thousands of acres spanning across 19 U.S. states, according to the Land Report.
The tech billionaire owns 69,071 acres in Louisiana, 47,927 acres in Arkansas, and 20,588 acres in Nebraska. Gates also owns land in Arizona (25,750 acres), Illinois (17,940), Mississippi (16,963), Washington (16,097), Florida (14,828), Idaho (9,233), Indiana (9,136), Ohio (8,915), California (4,509), Colorado (2,270), Michigan (2,167), Wisconsin (1,188), Wyoming (975), North Carolina (874), Iowa (552), and New Mexico (1). Gates’ farmland now totals 242,000 acres.
