If the Chinese decide to pull the trigger on an invasion of Taiwan, it will instantly become the biggest news story in the entire world.  Because the moment that an invasion of Taiwan begins, the United States and China will be at war and nothing will ever be the same again.  Of course, the Chinese would not consider an attack on Taiwan to be an invasion of a foreign country.  The Chinese consider Taiwan to be part of their territory just like we consider Florida or Texas to be part of our territory.  For a long time, the communist Chinese government had hoped to “reunify” with Taiwan peacefully, but now it has become clear that is never going to happen.  The Taiwanese government continues to boldly declare that Taiwan is not part of China, and the Biden administration recently approved a 500 million dollar arms sale that is intended to help them prepare for a potential invasion.  Needless to say, this arms sale greatly infuriated China, and it appears that the Chinese are gearing up for a big move.

In fact, Fox News is reporting that the Chinese are “continuously massing forces at its coastal military bases facing Taiwan”…

Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall on Monday warned that China was building up its military to prepare for a potential war with the U.S., and he said America must optimize its forces to counter the rising threat.

A decade ago, a war with China was unthinkable.

But now a war with China is a very serious threat, and U.S. Air Force officials want a lot more funding so that they can build air bases all over the Pacific…

It Begins: Australia’s Fifth-Largest Bank Announces Digital-Only Transactions – Will Phase Out Cash, Cheque, and Phone Payments in All 80 Branches Starting Next Year:

Australia’s fifth-largest bank, Macquarie Bank, has announced its transition to digital-only transactions. Starting from January 2024, the bank will begin phasing out all cash, cheque, and phone payment services in its 80 branches. By November 2024, all in-branch cash transactions will be completely discontinued.

Macquarie Bank has explained its decision by noting that its customers are predominantly digital bankers and only about 1% still use cash or checks.

“As a digital bank, we’re committed to transitioning to completely digital payments by November 2024 as a safer, faster and convenient way to bank,” a Macquarie Bank spokesperson said.

“The majority of our customers already bank digitally and we’re working very closely to support the less than 1% of our customers who currently use cheques or cash to ensure they have access to other digital payment methods.”

News.com.au reported: Despite the bank’s reassurances, there were also fears about what the growing trend towards digital-only transactions would mean for older Australians.

NAB are also ramping up their digital-only locations, with several “Tellerless” branches around the country.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers also announced in June that cheques would be entirely phased out in Australia by 2030.

California’s Democrat Legislators Vote to Ban Grass Lawns:

Democrats banned decorative grass lawns to reduce water usage and to help the state ‘adapt to climate change.’

“Wasteful outdoor irrigation is a major challenge to our ability to adapt to climate change,” Adán Ortega Jr., chair of the Metropolitan Water District said.

The bill, AB 1572, passed the Senate in a 28-10 vote last week and headed over to Governor Newsom’s desk for a signature.  The ban, which will take effect in 2027, will take 4 years to fully implement.

“The legislation includes exceptions for grass in sports fields, parks, cemeteries, areas used for activities, and other “community spaces.”  Also exempt are areas where grass is irrigated with recycled water,” The Los Angeles Times reported.

California is descending into chaos because of one-party Democrat rule. Instead of solving the homelessness crisis, securing the border, preventing rolling blackouts and making life better for Californians, the state’s Democrats are crippling the residents with climate mandates.

In some states that have not banned gender mutilation, including Missouri and North Dakota, the mutilation procedures have abruptly been halted because medical providers are wary of harsh liability possibilities from those same laws — one of multiple reasons that advocates say care has become harder to access even where it remains legal.

Since last year, conservative lawmakers and governors have prioritized ending gender mutilation to protect children and adults.

At least 22 states have now enacted laws restricting or banning gender and hormonal mutilation for minors.

Medical institutions banning the mutilations cite a section of the law that increased the liability for providers. Under it, patients can sue for injury from the treatment until they turn 36, or even longer if the harm continues past then. The law gives the healthcare provider the burden of proving that the harm was not the result of hormones or puberty-blocking drugs. And the minimum damages awarded in such cases would be $500,000.

“To protect themselves from criminal liability, they’ve just decided to not even risk it,” Stewart said.

‘Empty shelves with absolutely no books’: Students, parents question school board’s library weeding process:

Books published in 2008 or earlier removed from school library amid confusion around new equity-based process.

Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry.

Those are all examples of books Reina Takata says she can no longer find in her public high school library in Mississauga, Ont., which she visits on her lunch hour most days.

In May, Takata says the shelves at Erindale Secondary School were full of books, but she noticed that they had gradually started to disappear. When she returned to school this fall, things were more stark.

“This year, I came into my school library and there are rows and rows of empty shelves with absolutely no books,” said Takata, who started Grade 10 last week.

She estimates more than 50 percent of her school’s library books are gone.

In the spring, Takata says students were told by staff that “if the shelves look emptier right now it’s because we have to remove all books [published] prior to 2008.”

Takata is one of several Peel District School Board (PDSB) students, parents and community members CBC Toronto spoke to who are concerned about a seemingly inconsistent approach to a new equity-based book-weeding process implemented by the board last spring in response to a provincial directive from the Minister of Education.

They say the new process, intended to ensure library books are inclusive, appears to have led some schools to remove thousands of books solely because they were published in 2008 or earlier.

“It is offensive, illogical and counterintuitive to remove books from years past that educate students on Canada’s history, antisemitism or celebrated literary classics.”

When it comes to disposing of the books that are weeded, the board documents say the resources are “causing harm,” either as a health hazard because of the condition of the book or because “they are not inclusive, culturally responsive, relevant or accurate.”

For those reasons, the documents say the books cannot be donated, as “they are not suitable for any learners.”

In the meantime, students like Takata are left with half-empty shelves and questions about why they weren’t consulted about their own libraries.

“No one asked for our opinions,” she said. “I feel that taking away books without anyone’s knowledge is considered censorship.”

Heavy rains overnight in the northeastern United States left parts of New York City underwater on Friday, partially paralyzing subways and airports in the country’s financial capital.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) declared an official state of emergency for the city, Long Island to the east, and the Hudson River valley to the north, warning people to not travel on flooded roads.

Images from around New York showed cars half-submerged and traffic snarled, with some major roads completely blocked.

The massive New York subway system was also hit by the flooding, with several lines closed in Brooklyn.

Over 40 Percent of French Back Lifetime Limit of Four Flights Per Person:

The survey, which took a representative sample of 1,010 French people aged 18 and above, found that support for the draconian measure was even higher among those under the age of 35, with 48 percent supporting the idea and rising to 59 percent for 18 to 24-year-olds.

The French government of Emmanuel Macron has been one of the most active in the world in trying to reduce the use of airplanes.  In May, the government issued a diktat banning domestic air travel for journeys that could be traveled by train in under two-and-a-half hours.

Paris also urged EU nations this month to impose a minimum price on flights within Europe to crack down on airlines from offering budget options in a supposed bid to reduce the industry’s emissions by pricing out poorer people from being able to travel by air.

There has been some pushback against the idea, with the Airlines for Europe association, which represents around 70 percent of all European air traffic, saying that it would violate EU market laws which permit airlines to set their own prices.

Responding to the findings, Danish climate expert Bjørn Lomborg said that the survey demonstrated “how crazy climate alarmism has become.”

End-times Enlightenment

The prophet Daniel would have been amazed at what we see happening all around us today. His question must have burned in the deepest part of his spirit while he appealed to the messenger who had just spoken about the end of all things:

“And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? (Daniel 12:7-8).

Daniel, after being given so much to take in from the messenger-angel from Heaven, must have been bursting with desire to know the outcome of humanity’s plight. He must have been especially wanting to know the details of what would become of his own people, Israel. The angel was permitted only to say the following in answer to the great old prophet’s question:

“Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:9-10).

I believe this generation is in the time the angel was speaking of in telling Daniel that the “wise shall understand.” We who “watch,” according to Jesus’ commandment (Mark 13: 37), are literally deluged with signal after signal of the lateness of the prophetic hour. We continually present from the hourly news accounts all of the signs Jesus told us to watch for.

We certainly can identify those the angel spoke about with the words, “the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand.” That group is easily identifiable just within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) meetings last week. And we can also be identified today with the angel’s words, “but the wise shall understand.”

The following explanation, I hope, will make the distinction between the wicked and the wise crystal clear and will help determine whether we are the generation the angel said will be here when that end-times book is opened.

This past week, I was told that my friend Tom Cote (“Watchman River Tom”), a first-rate biblical prophecy observer, had what he called one of the best moments of his life. He said that many fellow prophecy watchers who read these columns and view podcasts were apparently experiencing the same amazing thing. He said he saw you in action on the UN’s live video feed on YouTube.

That forum has almost three million subscribers. Tom reported that the video of the SDG summit had a lot of red lights. Then, something happened in the accompanying chat that amazed. Tom reported that it was, to his way of thinking, like a live wall of Jesus that manifested. It was incredible, he said.

The live chat was full of born-again believers—the Body of Christ. Tom said he was watching 2 Thessalonians 2:7–8—“He who now restrains”—in action: He felt as if he were watching the Restrainer restrain.

He reported that the comments were “Jesus is King”; “We love Jesus”; “When they say peace and safety sudden destruction comes”; and “Jesus has won the victory.”

It was—of all things—a sea of “Jesus” comments on a forum designed for the New World Order minions! He said that about 98 percent of the comments were about Jesus. He reported that occasionally someone obviously a part of the UN Great Reset agglomeration would come on and say things like, “What is going on here?” Again, Tom says it was an incredible moment.

There was confusion among the Ephesians 6:12 minions (my comment, not his).

There are indeed incredible things happening—both in regard to the stage being set for prophecy to be fulfilled and amongst those who yearn for our Lord’s call in the Rapture.

I believe with all within my spirit that those who truly are watching, according to Mark 13:37, Luke 21:28, Titus 2:13, and other scriptural instructions, can see more clearly how near we are to that call. Each moment-by-moment unveiling of the issues and events speaks into our spiritual hearts: “Your Redeemer is drawing near.”

It is more than obvious that those who “watch” are receiving end-times enlightenment. The Holy Spirit is, I believe, giving the heavenly heads-up that Jesus is about to step out on the clouds of glory and say, as He said to John, “Come up here!” (Revelation 4:1).

You don’t want to miss that thrilling command by the Lord of all Creation, who died as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world to save us from the sin into which we were born so that you and I could live eternally in the presence of God.

Here is how to go to the Savior when He calls in that great event we know as the Rapture:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).

Hmm.  I read things can’t touch the metal, put them in plastic (zip lock), then in a cardboard box, then either wrap the box with foil or put it in a metal trash can or whatever will fit.

I also read just put small things like phones in the microwave and unplug it.

Hopefully it will all be a no big deal anyway, but these days you can’t assume that, and it wouldn’t hurt to take a few easy precautions.
