So in my impatience & boredom I decided to revive a fun topic.
What will you be doing / fixing / saying / going or just living at, when Jesus calls us home and/or what will you like to do and eat for eternity???? I suppose we all need the humor and levity as heavy as the world burden is.

I did also list a great sermon for thought on the topic as he takes apart the good servant and the bad servant.

What Will You Be Doing When Jesus Comes Back? | Luke 12:41-48

Ah Geri — onion rings are my heaven go to food — I have not had onion rings in over 15 years because of Celiac and I miss them terribly bad!!!!! I also miss Fried Chicken, the GF bread crumbs just do not do it justice ….

I ‘m going to eat Lemon Meringue pie, frozen Lemon Pie, Strawberry /Rubarb Pie — oh and mentioned before, I really want to try the Manna, it sounds so wonderful in Exodus. A great yeast bread, sweet bread, scones ….. yes and all the tomatoes I can eat in one sitting, then there is the fruit — strawberries, cherries, Kiwi, blood oranges, plums, etc…. The list can go on for eternity — oh wait for it, we have eternity :yahoo:

Ever wonder what dishes our Father may have ready for us?

I want to fly, without a plane, just me and the air ….. I want to finally sing with a great voice all the songs that I have loved to sing to the Father … some days I just want to sit at Jesus’s feet and listen to Him talk, love on him from a pure heart for eternity for all that He has done for me :prayer-hands:

I have to say, I love Geri’s routine of turning off the stove, getting ready etc… I have not developed a routine, but wonder if I might consider that ….

Geri – I have a theory (opinion) on your fur babies strange behavior the other day … animals and very young children are extremely sensitive to the spiritual world.

I love watching babies smile at unseen objects, (no it is not always gas bubbles either) :mdrmdr:  — but the behavior you described could lend itself to the dark side trying to gain access to your home but the spirit of an angel blocked that one! :yahoo:  I have heard of and seen stranger things like this ….

Animals (Balkan’s donkey) can see the unseen — so he was maybe, your protector that day…

Spot on Tammie … with my fur baby possibly seeing the spiritual dark forces the other day … he is very protective … even though he is small … he acts like a Great Dane.  If I’m watching DVD’s they are the old cop/detective programs … Charlie’s Angels, Mod Squad, etc. he is watching them with me and when the bad guys enter the room and holding a gun or if the female is screaming, etc.  he quickly stands up and the hair on the back of his spine stands up and he is barking at the tv until they are out of danger. :mdrmdr:

I used to be a neat freak … but now I’m letting go on the deep cleaning … I just don’t care anymore … once we leave … I’m realizing now everything is going to be insane and people will not even notice …

Ooh lala that Mexican plate I can go for right now!   I skipped dinner … and now I’m getting hungry.  And a slice of warm apple pie.  Yum!   The assorted breads with butter, yes!

The beverages though … I got sooo much will power to be able to resist them from here to Kingdom Come.  :mdrmdr:

What will I be doing when the last trump blows?  Maybe attending my BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) meeting.  Wouldn’t that be a hoot?

This will be my first year back after a long hiatus due to a full-time job.  Now I am blissfully retired.

As for food in eternity, I sure love food now, but I have a feeling that I won’t care what is on the menu there.

Please notice that Kolleen led with the important drink — COFFEE!  It must be difficult for Geri to maintain her staunch (she might say stench) minority opinion about coffee.

By the way, I like nachos, but that tower is overwhelming.

Tammie, Cholula isn’t really very hot. In fact, you could practically drink it. What I like about it is that it is very flavorful. Cajun food, which I love, love, love, is hotter than Chiluba. Now go buy yourself a bottle (it has the wooden top) and treat yourself to something lovely! 😉😁

Cholula hot sauce is very good. One of my favourites. Mexican food is wonderful. Guacamole and avocados are simply amazing.

Lemon Meringue pie was mentioned. That and Key Lime Pie are heavenly.

However, nothing can beat Peanut Butter M & Ms. I’ll be farming fruit orchards of them in eternity.   ;-)

      Lol! Too funny, Arthur! :mdrmdr:

Being a guy I only saw the food aspect of this thread.   Tammie also asked what we might be doing when Jesus comes for us. It is my fervent hope that I will be doing one of two things when He returns for us. 1) Witnessing to someone. Wow! Wouldn’t THAT be a powerful witness! Lol
      2) Being in the Word and prayer. I think that would be so spectacular to be focused on Him and then He appears!

Hopefully honoring God, even if in the smallest of ways!  Hopefully an attitude of hopeless gratitude will I be manifesting as well as praising God in the depths of my soul and Spirit!

Even if I but quietly just remain in His presence, overwhelmed and unable to speak!

      Sob, sob!

Thank you Rick for bringing this up —- it is on my bucket list to learn post rapture —- Being in healthcare and totally understanding bodily functions through classes such as gross anatomy and pathophysiology, reading about Jesus eating post resurrection, I have to admit that I have often wondered what changes will occur in the body to not have any issues with defecation. :mdrmdr: :mdrmdr:
