Why In-N-Out Burger Prints Bible Verses On Their Wrappers And Cups:

The 37-year-old CEO and granddaughter of the founder of the chain, Lynsi Snyder told The Christian Post that she got religion as a teenager after her father died and later when she went through three divorces.  “I finally found that the deep need in my heart can only be filled by Jesus and my identity in Him,” she said.

“It was my uncle Rich who put the Bible verses on the cups and wrappers in the early ‘90s, just before he passed away,” Snyder told The Christian Post. “He had just accepted the Lord and wanted to put that little touch of his faith on our brand.”

You sometimes have to look for the verses because they are placed discreetly on wrappers and cups. They also only include the book and verse number, not the full text.

On the soda cup is John 3:16, which reads, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The milkshake cup has Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Hamburger and cheeseburger wrappers have Revelation 3:20, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

The famous Double-Double’s have Nahum 1:7 printed on the wrapper, which reads, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”

Additional verses have been added to other products, such as Proverbs 24:16 and Luke 6:35.  “In later years, I added verses to the fry boat, coffee, and hot cocoa cups,” she said. “It’s a family business and will always be, and that’s a family touch.”

So cool!  I wish there was an In-N-Out burger in the Northeast … I would support them … I’m sure they are waaaaaaaaaaay better than McD’s.

No comparison Geri — if you have Five Guys – that’s the closest I have found.

I miss In-N-Out Burger. There used to be one right around the corner from where I lived in CA.

I have been in Spain so long that I salivate like Pavlov’s dogs at the thought of In N Out. i went back to the states in October for the National Funeral Director Association convention in Nashville and flew on to Arizona afterward……….i was at an In N Out within minutes.

Being in Spain as long as i have been,  i know for sure is it will be a LONG LONG time before i eat either Subway or Burger King when i leave here.

Apparently they have a restaurant in Vancouver. Will have to try their food, do.etime. :good:   Especially if they have Bible verses on their cups and wrappings.

There is a John 3:16 Restaurant here. They serve excellent Malaysian food. John 3:16 is everywhere. On the awning, walls, menus, plates on business cards, etc. The whole verse, too! :good:

If you’ve never been to an In-N-Out then order the “double-double animal style”. Its a double cheese burger with extra sauce and it is finger licking good! Their fries are great, too! They have three drink sizes and all three cups have a different verse on the underside rim. But do not expect to get through their drive thru like a Chick-fil-A. In-N-Out is hardly “fast” food but it’s worth the wait. They make everything to order.

I am in total agreement! The double double is the best! Can’t wait for my next one!

Here are some clues: “But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”

So this brand new In-N-Out location in Lakewood, CO had a lonnnggg line — about 45 minutes from the tail end of the drive-up line down the street, around two corners, and into the on-lot double queue.  We had a long time to talk.

(tried to put my .mov video showing the long line — I failed) :-)

The Bible verse used to not be on the side. Yes, even in an established area the wait is pretty long. Not 45 minutes long, but a lot longer than a typical fast food drive thru.
