      Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

      That’s it.  Just wanted to go on the record…and that’s all I have to say about that.  :)

      Song of Songs has some of my favourite verses for how I feel about Him and how he feels about us 2:4 He hath brought me to the house of wine and his banner over me is love. 5:10 The chiefest among ten thousand. And His view of us 6:5 Turn away thine eyes from Me for they overcome me.

      Agreed. Jesus plus something =nothing. Jesus plus nothing = everything.

      Matthew 6:33
      33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

      When you have Jesus, you get everything. :yahoo:

      Yeah, I don’t get the “Jesus plus” people. Jesus is ALL we need. Nothing can be added to Him and nothing can be taken away from Him. Just Him is what we all need (but I need Him more than you! ;-) )

      Yes you are brother :yes: so are we all, as we are one body in Christ, and individually members of it…. :prayer-hands:

      One day, out of the blue, my oldest sister texted me “Jesus loves you, but I’m  His favorite!” I still laugh every time I think of it. 😁

      I do not suspect that I am His favorite, but He is certainly mine.

      When I come into contact with the rich folks that act snobby, I often find myself singing this song.  Then I start to feel sorry for them because they think they have it all but when they are on their death bed … their riches can’t save them and they leave this world like how they entered … empty hands and naked.  What a shocker it will be for them expecting the next life to remain the same with the special status, luxury and easy living … nope!   The opposite will happen … they will be envying us and regretting living a wasted self centered life. :yes:

      I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold;
      I’d rather be His than have riches untold;
      I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands.
      I’d rather be led by His nail pierced hand

      Chorus:
      Than to be the king of a vast domain
      Or be held in sin’s dread sway.
      I’d rather have Jesus than anything
      This world affords today.

      I’d rather have Jesus than men’s applause;
      I’d rather be faithful to His dear cause;
      I’d rather have Jesus than worldwide fame.
      I’d rather be true to His holy name

      [Chorus]

      He’s fairer than lilies of rarest bloom;
      He’s sweeter than honey from out the comb;
      He’s all that my hungering spirit needs.
      I’d rather have Jesus and let Him lead

      [Chorus]

      The mindset of thinking of ourselves as His favorite speaks of a personal and individual love He has for each of us!
